Barcom Scanware Install for Mercedes


Step 1: Scanware Software Install

NOTE: Do not plug in USB scanner at this time


The Scanware software can be downloaded at:
(Please use Internet Explorer for guaranteed compatibility)
www.ebarcom.com/scanware/

 

 

You may need to allow a Java plug in to run:

Once the download has completed, it will install automatically, please accept the default installation

 

Please also accept the default installation for Microsoft SOAP Toolkit


 

 

 

After installing click on the Scanware Icon on your desktop:

The Scanware will prompt you for a Username and Company name. After this you will need to enter a license number.

The License may be provided with the Scanner.

NOTE: if you are moving a current copy to another computer, you will still need to contact Barcom to reactivate your software

 

After entering the License number, Scanware should display that your com port is not funtioning, now it is time to install the Scanner.


Step 2: Microvision USB Cable Driver Install

NOTE: now plug in the Microvision scanner to USB


Open the Flickware scanner driver page at:
www.microvision.com/barcode/support/drivers.html

 

 

Please select either the top or bottom driver download based on identifying which cable you have purchased

It will most likely be the top one:

If for some reason you are not able to download the drivers from the Microvision site you can download them here:

DOWNLOAD:

USB Cable - Straight and Coiled (If you arent sure Choose this one)
Flic USB Cable and Cable Adapter

 

Install the SC0119681_FlicUSB.exe file with Administrator privlidges:

 


Step 3: Connecting Scanware to the Flickware Scanner


Click on the Start Menu: Then Right click on My Computer: Click Manage:



Now find the COM port for your scanner. It will be under HID, Other Devices, or Ports:



Once you have found the COM port of your Scanner, Open Scanware and hit the configuration button.
Enter the COM port of your scanner, and save configuration to default
